Host Family Home

Our home is a very old building that was originally a Coach House (Public House) built approximately 150 years ago. For this reason it has a lived in look and atmosphere. Originally built to cater for horse drawn traffic, offering refreshments and accommodation for people travelling the route between Holyhead and Chester and as far as London.

We have a huge garden for those lovely spring and summer days where we have many BBQs.

The garden gate opens onto the river Elwy, one of finest local Salmon and Sea Trout rivers. The scenery is beautiful.

Homestay Accommodation

Each year our family, John, Kim and their dog Oz, provide comfortable, host family accommodation for students and visitors from the UK and abroad (school children, university students and professionals) wishing to experience the British way of life at an affordable price. It is particularly suitable for the following categories:

  • Students from abroad who are here to study A'S level and are looking for homely accommodation on a “long term” basis and the added security that staying with a caring host family can give
  • The student or visitor seeking affordable accommodation and a home atmosphere as a base for visits and excursions in and around North Wales on a “short stay” basis
  • We provide home stay accommodation for up to 4 students (2 X 2 Double rooms.  No Opposite sex sharing)
  • Our prices include breakfast and evening meal. We can for a small additional charge include a packed lunch.

Our family has several years of experience receiving students and professionals from abroad and helping them improve their knowledge of the English language, culture and being able to stand on their own feet. At the same time helping them settle into their studies or work experience.
